Restaurant Twenty Seven By Jamie Rogers

We visited for the Burns Night supper and it was a great experience - food was absolutely wonderful and the service was fab. Everything was so well organised and we were looked after the second we walked in the door which was especially appreciated as they were so busy! Special shoutout to Claire and Helen who looked after us all so well and of course Jamie and his team for some delicious Scottish inspired food. Bag piper was an added bonus! Thank you for a great night

There are so many positive things I want to say about Twenty Seven, it's hard to fit them all into a short review. The atmosphere , the service and the food are all unparalleled. Each dish had an expertly balanced brew of flavours that represent a refinement of food years in the making. Clean, elegantly plated courses making it a food experience worth travelling for, and a must if your visiting Devon.

I had booked the early dining menu several weeks before, however, when we arrived at 6.45pm, we were told that they no longer offered this. Our server, Julia, handled this really well, as I challenged her on this, and she subsequently contacted the manager, who then offered us an alternative taster menu at a lower price. The menu was delicious, and the paired wine was a really nice accompaniment. The service was excellent, Julia and the other waitress were very professional but Julia had such a natural manner, it enhanced the evening. The setting is also lovely. Well done guys

Visited on Saturday the 28th at six thirty, on entry at that time it was a quiet vibe but greeted immediately by professional staff,if you want a busy atmosphere visit later as it soon became busy from seven. The food is exceptional and presented like art with a taste that matched. We had a seven course menu so please see photos. The service seemed a little robotic at first but in the end the lady who took the bill opened up and it just topped the evening.

Our a la carte lunch at 27 Kingsbridge was a truly wonderful experience. We were greeted by Julia who was warm, friendly, and authentic. The restaurant is elegant and comfortable . The description of the 4 starters made it difficult to choose between so three of us started by sharing four exquisite starters. The Crab Mille Feuille, Haddock Ravioli, Isle of Wight Tomato Tart and Duck Terrine. The presentation was exquisite, attention to detail superb and tastes phenomenal. For mains, we had Lamb and Beef dishes. Both were perfectly cooked—the lamb tender and flavorful, the beef rich and succulent, showcasing the chef's precise execution. For dessert we had the strawberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Delice. And again we were wowed by them both. 27 Kingsbridge is exceptional. A must-visit for those who appreciate fine dining at its best. If you're looking for a memorable experience then you will not be disappointed.

Twenty Seven has been on our list to visit for a long time, and on Friday we made it happen as an anniversary treat. We were first in the restaurant as it opened and so we received very attentive treatment, but even as it got busier over the next hour the service levels remained perfect from Claire and Charlotte. They struck the perfect balance: friendly, professional, and never over-familiar. The food was outstanding. We went for the tasting menu, and every single course was a knockout. When asked to pick a favourite at the end, we honestly couldn’t — they were all that good. A brilliant venue with superb staff, exceptional food, and fantastic value for money.

We’ve been to lots of restaurants all over the world and this place blew us away! Four of us had the tasting menu and dish after dish was a knockout! We even had someone with us who is very fussy and she ate everything that was put in front of her and loved it. The staff were lovely and made our experience perfect. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Loved it! We still talk about it a year later.

A really lovely restaurant in a pretty coastal town. Jamie’s is a gem! Comfortable and stylish, friendly and knowledgeable staff excellent menu , fine wine list. Service was prompt and the food stunning to look at and amazing to eat. This is Michelin level cooking without the outrageous price tag.
